Dutch Nomad FamilyDubai With Kids

Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is a fantastic holiday destination. The Dutch Nomad Family visited the Middle East for the first time. Cultural and architectural a whole new experience and we all loved it!

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. Your kids will never forget this one! It is 829 meters high. The elevator brought us to the observation deck on the 124th floor at 456 meters within 1 minute! And when the doors open: Wow, you are on top of the world, the city, teeny tiny cars, the sea and the desert around Dubai. Isis and Thijs were fascinated to see all the construction projects going-on and were amazed that it’s all built on desert sand.

Being at the right time at the right place, in front of the Burj Khalifa at sunset there are spectacular dancing fountains and light show. Illuminated by 6,600 lights and 25 colored projectors, it is 275 meter long and shoots water up to 150 meter into the air accompanied by a range of classical to contemporary Arabic and world music. That was impressive.

The aquarium in the Dubai Mall, the largest mall of the world, was definitely worth the visit. It is really big and there is also an underwater zoo. There was a King Crocodile, weighing a whopping 750 kilograms and measuring over 5m in length. Its head alone is more than 150 kilograms! And we never can get enough of seeing Nemo.

Isis and Thijs also visited the Atlantis Waterpark on the Palm Island. The aquarium is really beautiful. The waterpark is awesome as well but we ran out of time. Palm Island is an experience on it’s own. And the kids remember vividly seeing the only 7 star hotel Burj Al Arab. Tom and Inge spent a full day in the Burj al Arab hotel and that was an absolutely awesome experience on all fronts.

Ski Dubai is and indoor ski center for skiing, snowboarding and a penguin encounter.
It is fantastic for kids to meet the penguins and they are able to feed them. They like fish and that’s what they get at Ski Dubai. There is two types op penguins, the Gentoo and the King penguin. Gentoo penguins are the third largest penguins, with a height of 60 to 75 centimeter. The King penguin is bigger, 94 centimeter. Ski Dubai is fun for the whole family.

In the old part of town, we strolled over the spice souk and gold souk. The quantity of gold and all its formations blew us away. The sellers are very friendly to kids and it’s a great place to buy your souvenirs. And then we made a boat trip over the Dubai Creek to a traditional Arabic restaurant, with sunset over the Creek.

A Gold class (first class) ticket in the Metro allowed us to sit in the first cabin of the metro, with a huge front window to see the whole skyline of Dubai in front of us and passing by as we travelled back from the old part of town to Al Barsha. The metro ride was an experience in itself.

Dubai also has Kidszania, an all time favorite for Isis and Thijs. Children can try around 50 different professions and get trained to use the equipment and to follow the instructions. Whether it’s to be a surgeon, a driver, a pilot or a kitchen chef. Look around for Kidszania in each big city in Asia; the concept is fantastic.

Stay Focused

No matter what you try to do online, staying focused is going to be your most important ally. If you’re in the making-money-online niche, all of your posts, videos, and ads should appeal to people who are interested in that niche. If you’re in the spiritual niche, then all your content should appeal to that. Know who you are and what you represent. Figure out what kind of person would love to find your services, and speak to that person whenever you write something or put something on social media.

Stay Up-to-Date

No matter what niche you’re in, you’re not alone. Try to read some of the other contributors in your niche. If you’re in the trucking business, see what trucking blogs there are, and comment on their work and/or quote them in a blog post. Realistically, you’re never going to be in a niche all by yourself, and you might be able to serve your clients by exposing them to new trends in the industry or people in the profession who have something to say.

Stay the Course

Don’t give up too soon. In fact, if you’re sure you have something good to offer, and you’re failing, then it’s probably not the product that is the problem. And it’s probably not the niche. It’s probably not your fault, but the problem is probably you.

A mentor with years of experience can take a look at your marketing materials and usually tell you in about 10 minutes or less why you’re failing. It’s a shame so many people quit so soon, because most of the time it’s some really simple problem that needs to be fixed — like the verbiage in your advertisement not being quite relatable enough to your landing page.

Here’s a quick example: Let’s say you’re running an ad that says, “Let me show you how I made $5,000 in one month using very easy-to-build Facebook ads. Click here for info.” And let’s say that a bunch of people were curious and clicked on your ad. They then go to a “landing page,” also called a “lead capture page,” where they are expecting to read about how you make this kind of money in one month using Facebook ads.

However, you’ve got a lot of extra verbiage and it doesn’t seem pertinent. For example, you say, “Hi, thanks for clicking through. My mother never said I’d amount to anything, and in our home town of Whereisit, Illinois, nobody ever did. We all had dogs and pet alligators. And I think we should declare alligators as an endangered species in Illinois. But I went to school at the University of …” So even if you’re going to lead up to the information about Facebook ads, you lose your audience by not getting right to it, and they click away without reading your priceless content.

Don’t let yourself be too discouraged about your retirement business. It will take time, and there’s a learning curve involved, but making money online is not quite as hard as you might think it is when you have a great product and a mentor or coach to help guide you.

Wouldn’t it be great to work online? You could go anywhere you want – all you’d have to do is pack your laptop and go. Today I’m going to tell you about some real people who do just that.

The traveling couple: I know of a couple who have been on the road for about five years. Their daughter was only 1 year old when they left the states, laptops and surfboards in hand. They make phone calls, Skype calls, and do hangouts from the road to keep in touch with clients. They conduct seminars and other educational events to teach people how they manage to live a dream life and surf the best waves the world over. Their child has one of the richest educations imaginable and has friends all over the globe.

In reality, there are many couples who do this. When you first hear of it, it seems rather unusual. But the longer you’ve been working online, the more people you hear of who have been doing it quietly for years.

The travel blogger: Not necessarily a couple, but a person who loves traveling and lives to write about it. Being an excellent photographer also makes it easier to make a living this way. There are several ways to earn a living by traveling, laptop in hand.

Some travel bloggers can write about a lot of different topics. Most of them talk about tourism, the best places to eat and stay, local entertainment, etc. Some talk about the conditions of the native populations, the health of the ecosystem in the area, and the trade or lack of it. Almost all travel bloggers seem to bond with the people of the areas they’re enjoying, so they can give you a great feel for local color.

Scientific researchers: These people study animals or other natural features of the landscapes they’re exploring. You’ve seen all those shows on National Geographic, right? Well, somebody is making a living traveling around the world and making these films. Thanks to technology, these kinds of jobs are becoming more and more prevalent, and bosses are being more open to the idea of work-at-home or work-overseas employees or independent contractors.

If you decide to do this, you should make sure and do something you love. If you want to make money, you should explore opportunities in the money-making niche. If you want to explore the health and fitness of people all over the world, than you’ll want to explore the health and fitness niche to find ways to fund your travels. You can find sponsors, you can sell health and fitness packages, or you could conduct a series of workshops, perhaps based on a book, in many countries.

Let your mind wander and start brainstorming all the ways you can make money online. I’ve been involved in the online marketing community for over a year, and the experience gets richer over time. Before you know it, your “laptop lifestyle” will seem very normal to you, but probably far more gratifying than you can imagine.

1. It’s much easier to start a business online than it is in any other setting. Not only is the initial cash investment very low, but you don’t have to go through any job interviews!

2. You get tax write-offs working from home that you will never get from a raise on your job. (Obviously, ask your accountant about this – I can’t give tax advice.)

3. There are a lot of successful business people who are more than happy to help you. Even if you don’t know them personally, you can just find some people you admire who are earning money online, watch what they do, and learn from them.

4. If you’re lucky like I was, you’ll run across an amazing educational system that will literally teach you every step along the way.

5. With any business, whether online or off-line, coaching is vital. If I didn’t have a coach, I really don’t know what I would do or how far I could get. Fortunately, I did find a system that provided both step-by-step instruction AND coaching.

Now, back to the happiness factor: will money, all by itself, make you happy? Probably not, but money can help you when you’re sick, when you want to go out and have fun with friends, if you’re trying to impress that special someone with a little gift, or when you want to go back to school and learn something. In short, there are very few problems that having a little extra cash can’t help. Wealthy people know this, and that’s why they always have cash reserves and multiple income streams.

I’ve been working online for less than a year now, and I already feel like I’ve had scales removed from my eyes. I really had no idea how lucrative it is to get plugged into a simple system online and start teaming up with people with proven track records. Online Strategies for Growing Your Retirement Income

Growing Your Retirement Income. Thanks to Social Security, Superannuation, and other programs around the world, many people have a guaranteed retirement income. And we have a lot to be grateful for because of it. When that income pales in comparison to the expenses we’re facing in retirement, then we have a responsibility to take care of the gap.

So what are you going to do? What is your plan B?

While we’re super-fortunate to be living in the developed countries where prosperity abounds, we still fall into traps that you might think would be obsolete by now. We still put off doing things we need to do – like plan for retirement, take care of our health, make living Trusts to take care of handing off wealth to our offspring, etc. You’d think that as a group, anyone in the 60+ age range would have heard enough data and had enough experience to make all these arrangements a no-brainer.

Let’s not put it off another day. Let’s figure out some strategies for growing your income, no matter what age you are or where you’re starting.

Business Ownership vs. Employee Status

To my mind, the best way to earn money is by starting a small business. This is not really hard to do, and ensures that you’re in control of your income. Employees are mostly controlled by their income, because they have to wait for someone else to make decisions about raises, salary, benefits, and even schedule. When you’re a business owner, it’s all up to you.

Tax-wise, being a business owner makes sense, too. I’m not an accountant and can’t legally make accounting claims, but from what I know, you can have a small business in your house and write off the rent for that particular room on your annual taxes. This can be a huge blessing. Many people hire family members to do jobs within the business, keeping the money in the family and giving you a tax break while helping your teenager learn to do a job.

Owning a business is a great strategy.

Advertise Online

Whether you have a product to sell or a service, advertising can really cost. You might think that it only costs $20 a month to advertise at the local golf course, but when your advertising yields a ROI of exactly $0, then it’s $20 a month too much.

People who use traditional methods of advertising are used to the blanket style of marketing. They’re concerned that a lot of people see their ads, so they blanket the area. But they’re never going to have an idea of how many sales are directly attributed to those ads.

In online marketing, you’re not very concerned about how many people see your ad, because you have the power to make sure the RIGHT people see your ad. For example, if you’re selling coaching sessions, you can target your ads to people who are actually looking for coaching. What a gift!

Online ads have another advantage. They can actually tell you how many people saw the ad and how many of those people actually took the next action step. For example, I might have an ad running on Facebook that 400 people click on. All those people go to my landing page. When they get there, they’ll decide whether or not to take the next step and click on the button. Using the magic of tracking, I can actually tell how many people click on the link and convert from prospects to leads.
